The sounds were information overload.

 

Traveling to Tokyo felt somewhat like landing in an alternate reality... a reality I could stand behind.

The spotless metro station, the elaborate

accommodations for those with special needs,

the extensive rules that people actually listened

to, the disarming quiet even in a crowd of people,

the unique juxtaposition between ancient

tradition and the height of technology, and

of course, the obsession with all things cute.
